Last night was Unmasking My Dark Knight’s final tour stop, and it hasn’t hit me quite yet that it’s done.

Between the Tropes is such a beautiful bookstore, I’m so happy for them, so proud of these incredible friends who found a friendship as readers, and then opened a bookstore not too long ago to celebrate all things reading in the West Valley. They have created such a wonderful community, and I’m honored I got to be there with them and Alyson 🥹🫶🏻

Thank you soooooo much ladies for having us! Last night was so freaking amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts! That dirty soda was SOOOOOO freaking good! Next time I come visit, I’m def getting another!

Even just driving to Surprise, AZ was amazing. I’ve never been up to Surprise before, even driving on the freeway alone felt like I transported to California. Gorgeous green mountains surrounded the highway, large houses built on the hills. What a cute place!

Especially in a time that has become so digital, you have made the decision to step out of that digital space, and enjoy life out in the real world by making new friends 🫶🏻

While Alyson and I were getting our tables ready, we had readers waiting, and what a grateful experience that was. I know I was hyper focused on setting up, but please know, my heart was literally pounding at the idea that you were there for us, and so excited for us to open 😭😭😭 thank you so so so much!

Loved seeing my friends, my readers, my team members, and meeting new readers! Ahhh!! I just love you all, I wanna squeeze you all with a tight hug! 🫂

After the event, I text her a photo and video, and I hadn’t realized until after you left that the back of the mask said For Hollie 😭 thank you for making this for her, it means so much, because without Hollie, UMDK wouldn’t exist for you all, and we love our reader bestie so much. Oftentimes I think that’s she’s the one corralling you all to connect with us. She loves sharing her favorite books and connecting readers with their next favorite read.
