// SCOTTSDALE, AZ.

THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST EVENT AS A SIGNING AUTHOR. I’VE NEVER EVEN ATTENDED A BOOK CONVENTION AS A READER, SO I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. WHAT I DID EXPECT WAS… MY ANXIETY TO BE AT AN ALL TIME HIGH PRIOR TO THE EVENT, AND THE DAYS LEADING UP TO IT.

IT WAS A ROUGH NIGHT, BUT I HAVE TO SAY… ONCE THE EVENT STARTED, AND THE ORGANIZERS OPENED THE DOOR TO CHEERING AND EXCITED BOOK READERS, I FELT AT PEACE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A FEW DAYS.

MY TABLE WAS DIAGONAL FROM SARA CATE’S, AND HER LINE STARTED PIKING UP SO QUICK, IT WAS SURREAL TO SEE THE EVENT TAKING PLACE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES.

BEFORE I KNEW IT, WITHIN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES, I HAD A BRAND NEW READER ASKING ABOUT MY BOOKS, THEN ANOTHER READER WHO ALREADY HAD A STACK OF MY BOOKS, READY TO BE SIGNED, AND SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS FAN GIRLING. OMG! I WAS FLOORED AND IN AWE. AND I’M SO SAD I DIDN’T THINK TO TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE EVENT. MY HEADSPACE WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH SO MANY ROLLING EMOTIONS.

I’LL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL FOR THIS EVENT, FOR ALL THE BEAUTIFUL SOULS I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF MEETING. STEPHANIE ,THE COORDINATOR AND ORGANIZER—THIS WAS HER FIRST EVENT— SHE TRULY WOWED ME. SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB! THIS SIGNING HELPED ME OVERCOME MY FEAR, AND GAVE ME AN INSATIABLE APPETITE FOR MORE. I WANT TO MEET MORE OF MY READERS, MORE NEW AUTHORS, AND FRIENDS. CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!

Wild + Windy West

Wild and Windy West was my second ever signing, and my first big book convention signing, and let me tell you, it was incredible! There were readers that I met from raven’s spicy reads 2024 that came by to say hi and buy more books. Even my regular readers came by to say hi, and I was so grateful! me and my assistant/best friend may mae had the best time talking to all my readers, chatting with other authors, going to panels and listening in, and honestly… eating food. there was a reader or two who caught me eating my wetzel pretzel between taking a breather. the entire time, may mae and i were standing, and we even got gifts 😭 i love readers, this community is so incredible and i’m forever thankful.

The Bookish Shop

This is my second time ever signing at the bookish shop in gilbert, arizona and i was so grateful for the experience! it’s always fun seeing my author friends, my regular readers come in to see me, and meeting new readers! honestly, this day was filled with so much joy, photo booth photos, and memories! thank you always for making authoring so much fun when it comes to my signing adventures! also, please go love up on my local indie author friends, alexis almanzar and alyson dawn, these women are such incredible support, hype women, and gorgeous inside and out!
